(7) Men of Courage: President Kennedy-elimination Evidence, Motives, Suspects, Discoveries, + Dedicated Citizen Researchers, provided by Donald Roberdeau (page 7 of 14)

At approximately 10:30 AM CDT Dallas time (during working hours)
on November 20th or 21st, 1963 Dallas citizen RALPH LEON YATES
gave a ride to a hitchhiker that he dropped-off very close to the
same streets intersection of the Texas School Book Depository and
the Dal-Tex Building.

This hitchhiker was also carrying a 4’ to 4.5’ long paper package.
(the Warren Commission-apologist theory mandates that OSWALD
took a weapon to his work on, only, November 22nd, 1963)

After the assassination, Mr. YATES voluntarily went to the F.B.I.

On 11-27-63 and again on 12-14-63 he provided the F.B.I. the
following very detailed statements with respect to the details of
what Mr. YATES and the long package-carrying hitchhiker
discussed during their ride together.

Mr. YATES stated that after seeing LEE HARVEY OSWALD on TV that
the hitchhiker he had given a ride to was OSWALD.

Interestingly, among several 11-20-63 topics that the hitchhiker-"Oswald"
and Mr. YATES, just “happened” to also specifically “predict” the exact
same details that, after the assassination, also became key considerations
used to try to persuade people of OSWALD as a “lone-nut.”

Mr. YATES detailed how the hitchhiker-"Oswald", specifically, had also
asked Mr. YATES what he thought were the probabilities of
President KENNEDY being killed from a building rooftop or being
shot from a window of a building’s high floor . . . .

When Mr. YATES reached downtown Dallas, the hitchhiker-"Oswald"
wanted to be dropped-off at the intersection of Houston and Elm
Streets, in front of the County Records Building, the Dal-Tex
Building, and the Texas School Book Depository
....

Because the hitchhiker-"Oswald"-with-the-long-package" events and discussions
happened on Nov. 20th or 21st instead of the Warren-Commission-theorized
Nov 22nd, are you at all surprised that Mr. YATES was never called
by the commission to provide his testimony
. (as were not many
additional known-about, key, witnesses
that were also “inconvenient”
and de-bunked many of the commission's theories)

Mr. YATES original voluntary statements are provided for you, in his
following pages, as summarized by the F.B.I., then written-up by the F.B.I.,
as the F.B.I. also did for the vast majority of the many witnesses statements.

By 1963 Kennedy had become increasingly concerned that Johnson was unfit to assume the only vice-presidential duty that mattered: assuming the presidency. He had made him chairman of the Presidential Commission on Equal Employment Opportunity only to have its members gripe that he showed little leadership. “That man can’t run this committee,” he complained to Bobby. “Can you think of anything more deplorable than him trying to run the United States?” His uneasiness about a Johnson presidency may have also prompted him to ask Charlie Bartlett in September 1963, “How do you think Lyndon would be if I got killed?”

Evelyn Lincoln noticed Johnson’s name appearing less and less often on the lists of invitees to crucial policy meetings in 1963, and her record of the private conferences between him and Kennedy showed them meeting alone for over ten hours in 1961 but only for seventy-five minutes in 1963. By the fall of 1963 their relationship had reached a nadir. An evolving scandal involving the notorious Capitol Hill fixer Bobby Baker threatened to tarnish Johnson, and in the fall of 1963 Johnson had vehemently opposed Kennedy’s decision to sell surplus wheat to the Soviet Union, telling Kennedy aide Ken O’Donnell that it was the worst political mistake Kennedy had made since becoming president, and then adding “Tell him I said that.”

Johnson was noticeably absent when Kennedy convened the first formal meeting of his reelection team on Tuesday November 12. Sorensen thought he had been excluded because he was “not part of the inner circle and did not have the warmest relations with—or full confidence of—everyone in that room.” The next day Kennedy stopped at Lincoln’s desk to chat as she was reading the memorandums from the meeting. She remarked that staging a convention as electrifying as the one in 1960 had been might be difficult because everyone knew what was going to happen. “Oh, I don’t know,” he replied. “There might be a change in the ticket.”

The Impeachment of LBJ:
staffers meeting with Donald B. Reynolds 11-22-63
VIDEO

On November 20, 1963 ROSE CHERAMI (born MELBA CHRISTINE MARCADES) was taken to the local hospital near Eunice, Louisiana.

When she was there
she repeatedly warned Dr. VICTOR J. WEISS JR. and additional members of the medical staff that she had foreknowledge that President KENNEDY was going to be killed while on his visit to Texas, and she specifically warned that the assassination would happen in Dallas.

After President KENNEDY was killed in Dallas, Dr. WEISS stated to at least one friend, Mr. A. H. MAGRUDER, that Ms. CHERAMI had also known ahead of time and she had stated to other persons that President KENNEDY would be killed when he went, specifically, to Dallas.

ROSE CHERAMI, who had a criminal record and several aliases, told Lieutenant FRANCIS FRUGE of the Louisiana State Police that she had been part of a narcotics ring working between Louisiana and Houston. On November 26th, four days after President KENNEDY was killed in Dallas, she was released from the hospital into the custody of Lieutenant FRUGE and Captain BENJAMIN MORGAN (who was also of the Louisiana State Police), plus, ANNE DIECHLER of the Revenue Division.

They flew to Houston to investigate the narcotics ring, and on the flight CHERAMI picked up a newspaper which had a story about the Mafia-connected JACK RUBY's murder-elimination of LEE HARVEY OSWALD. Within that article RUBY was quoted as denying that he had ever known OSWALD. As stated by Lieutenant FRUGE, CHERAMI laughed when she read the article segment about RUBY denying he knew OSWALD, and she immediately stated that RUBY and OSWALD were, in fact, very good friends, had been in RUBY's club together, and were even "bed partners." Upon arrival in Houston she repeated this to Captain MORGAN, but she refused to talk to federal authorities, saying she did not want to get involved. According to Lieutenant FRUGE, the followup information that ROSE CHERAMI gave for them about the narcotics ring was "true and good information."

Not surprisingly, Ms. CHERAMI (as were many other key-but-Warren-
Commission-apologist-“inconvenient”
witnesses) was never called
to give her testimony, in-person, to the Warren Commission.

“Two days before the assassination, two Dallas police officers were making their usual rounds on patrol. As they entered Dealey Plaza, they observed several men engaged in target practice with a rifle. The men were situated behind the wooden fence on the Grass Knoll. By the time the policemen reached the area the men had vanished, apparently leaving in a car parked nearby.”

“That same morning [Wednesday, November 20, 1963], in the center of Dallas, two police officers on routine patrol entered Dealey Plaza, through which the presidential motorcade would pass on Friday, and noticed several men standing behind a wooden fence on a grassy knoll overlooking the plaza. The men were engaged in mock target practice, aiming rifles over the fence, in the direction of the plaza. The two police officers immediately made for the fence, but by the time they got there the riflemen had disappeared, having departed in a car that had been parked nearby. The two patrol officers did not give much thought to the incident at the time, but after the assassination of the President two days later, they reported the incident to the F.B.I., which issued a report of it on November 26. For reasons that have never been satisfactorily explained, the substance of the report was never mentioned in the F.B.I.’s investigation of the assassination and the report itself disappeared until 1978, when it finally resurfaced as a result of a Freedom of Information Act request.”

“At Red Bird airfield in South Dallas, Woburn Incorporated had been in the process of selling off a small fleet of DC3 transports which it had purchased to fulfill a contract that ended in 1963. The last of the aircraft was sold in November and the new owner had arrived at Red Bird to collect his aircraft on November 18. As part of the deal, Woburn had agreed to completely check the aircraft and perform any required repairs. They had contracted with Wayne January to meet the new owner and the pilot that came with him. The pilot spoke English with no accent but told January that he had been born in Cuba and eventually revealed that his boss was an Air Force Colonel. The Cuban pilot was extremely proficient with the DC3 and later told January that he had flown that type of aircraft in Cuba as an officer in the Cuban Air Force.

By Thursday, November 21, January and the Cuban had become close enough to talk somewhat freely. During their lunch break and after a period silence, the Cuban looked at January and said: ’They are going to kill your President.’ January could tell the man was not joking. He had shown no sign of being less than serious before this in any conversation. When January asked him why he was saying this, the Cuban talked about being involved in the Bay of Pigs and about being told how his friends had died because Robert Kennedy had talked John Kennedy out of sending the air support they had been promised for the invasion. He talked about the pain and the embarrassment of those involved. ’They are not only going to kill the President, they are going to kill Robert Kennedy and any other Kennedy who gets in that position.’ January knew the man was serious, but it was too much for him to believe and he said so. The Cuban closed the conversation with, ‘You will see.’

all sorts of rumors, merely 18 hours before the assassination, that
President Kennedy was to be assassinated in Dallas,
even conveying
this information to President Kennedy himself, who told Underwood,
'Marty, you worry about me too much.'

. . . . and . . . .

“Although Secret Service Chief James J. Rowley adamantly
denied to the Warren Commission that his agency was
responsible for the printing of the motorcade route in Dallas, the
author has traced the critical decision back from LBJ aide Bill
Moyer to what Moyers described as ‘the agent in charge
of the Dallas trip’!

. . . . and . . . .

“The press photographers who normally rode in a flatbed truck
directly in front of President Kennedy’s limousine, as they had
done countless times before, were relegated to a position ‘out
of the picture’
behind the president’s limousine. According
to reporter Tom Dillard, this change occurred at ‘the last minute’
at Love Field, where two Secret Service agents, Winston G.
Lawson (who the author interviewed) and Roger Warner, were
responsible for lining up the cars for the motorcade, including
the use of numbers for the automobiles.”

. . . . and . . . .

“Surprisingly, several of these men told the author that they
believe there was,
indeed, a conspiracy to murder President
Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963
---Sam Kinney,
Abraham Bolden, Maurice Martineau, Marty Underwood, and
John Norris are the men that believe this to be the case. In
addition, June Kellerman, widow of the late Roy Kellerman,
as well as their daughter, stated that both Roy AND Bill Greer
knew there was more to the assassination than what was
officially pronounced.”

Mafia contact JOHN VINCENT MARTINO (a.k.a. “Joe Martino”), who was also a C.I.A. contract agent

"Shortly before his death in 1975 John Martino confessed to a Miami Newsday reporter, John Cummings, that he had been guilty of spreading false stories implicating Lee Harvey Oswald in the assassination. He claimed that two of the gunmen were Cuban exiles. It is believed the two men were Herminio Diaz Garcia and Virgilio Gonzalez. Cummings added: "He told me he'd been part of the assassination of Kennedy. He wasn't in Dallas pulling a trigger, but he was involved. He implied that his role was delivering money, facilitating things . . . . He asked me not to write it while he was alive."

Fred Claasen also told the House Select Committee on Assassinations what he knew about Martino's involvement in the case. Florence Martino at first refused to corroborate the story. However, in 1994 she told Anthony Summers that her husband said to her on the morning of 22nd November, 1963: "Flo, they're going to kill him (Kennedy). They're going to kill him when he gets to Texas."

(JOHN MARTINO was confirmed in F.B.I. reports as being a close friend to Mafia Godfather,
SANTOS TRAFFICANTE, for whom he had worked in pre-Communist CASTRO Cuba. He was
also closely aligned with right wing extremists, and admitted to being a C.I.A. contract agent.
He had worked closely with the C.I.A. in the "Bayo-Pawley Affair” in 1963, in which the
anti-CASTRO Cuban exiles tried to prove that there were still Russian missiles inside Cuba
that were armed with nuclear weapons)

The “If he goes to Dallas.…” from Dad

We watched the evening news at the dinner table in those days with a
TV in the dining room. A few days before the trip to Dallas, there was a
news cast talking about the trip; that some Texans were not fond of
JFK and that Dallas was very conservative and clearly LBJ country. At
one point Dad said “If he goes to Dallas they are going to kill him”.
Little did I know then that this statement was a harbinger of the horror
to come. Mom fretted about JFK’s closeness to the crowds and his
preference for an opened limo. At the time, I just shrugged off Dad’s
words. Surely they’d protect the President. JFK was not perfect, but he
was special for many of us, myself included.

Staying home from school on 11/22

The morning of Nov. 22, 1963, Dad made a strange request of me. As
I was getting up he came into my room and said. “I don’t think you are
feeling well today, Edward, I think you should stay home from school
and rest”. Since Dad was not one to give free stay home passes and I
was a senior that year, I said sure. Then he told me that he was
planning to do some painting in the garage and that I should watch TV
and come get him if there was any important news. I did as I was told
but was a little puzzled by Dad’s requests.

Hearing the bulletin, then seeing Cronkite give the sad news on TV

The actual motorcade was not on live TV although I have seen it many
times since that fateful day. Shortly after 1PM, there was that famous
bulletin with Walter Cronkite giving us all the terrible news that JFK
had been shot and had died.

Running to tell Dad as instructed

I dashed out back and told him what had happened to JFK. He did not
say anything but simply shook his head. I could not read his emotions
or thoughts at all then. He was stern faced and stopped his painting,
going back to the main house and heading straight to the phone.

Seeing the phone frenzy that lasted for hrs

During the afternoon, I watched TV; Mom came home and was
shocked as everyone else was or seemed to be. Dad was on the
phone all afternoon. The new “bola” was that Castro had killed JFK
and that was the topic of his conversations with friends and media
people he knew.

Seeing Ruby kill Oswald on TV

Like most Americans I was in a daze the next few days watching the
funeral, John-John’s salute, the carriage, LBJ all the turmoil. I also
watched as Ruby shot Oswald on live TV. I still can see those images
in my head when I reflect on them.

Hearing Dad say “Oswald was the patsy”

After Oswald was killed, Dad said that he had been the “patsy”. On a
trip to New Orleans, Dad claimed he witnessed Oswald giving out
brochures for the “Fair Play for Cuba Committee”. The Castro killed
JFK cover story was talked up numerous times. Dad would remind
people of the coffin that was apparently displayed in Havana before
the assassination with the words “Here lies JFK” inscribed on it.

MYSTERY CALL FORETOLD FATE OF PRESIDENT

The Los Angeles Times

What could be an intriguing mystery in the President's assassination
might center in the Oxnard-Camarillo area, near Los Angeles.

Fifteen minutes before Mr. Kennedy was shot, an Oxnard telephone
supervisor overheard a woman caller whisper to someone:

“The President is going to be killed.”

The strange call was intercepted by supervisors of the General
Telephone Co. in Oxnard at 1:10 EST. The fatal wounding of Mr.
Kennedy in Dallas occurred shortly after 1:25 EST.

Telephone company executives said it is impossible to trace the
mysterious call other than to know it originated in the nearby
Oxnard-Camarillo area.

The state mental institution is located at Camarillo.

Ray Sheehan, general manager of the company there, said:

"One of our supervisors picked up the call. The caller kept dialing
even though her call was connected. Then she started whispering.
Another supervisor listened in and was able to hear the woman
saying, 'The President is going to be killed'."

Sheehan said the mysterious call was reported to police - but after
the President had been shot.

(END QUOTE)

This Associated Press dispatch also made it into the Nov. 23rd Toronto Star-Telegram, which included that Ray Sheehan had said the caller "stumbled into our operator's circuits," perhaps by misdialing.

The Nov. 26th F.B.I. teletype relevant to this incident describes a teenage girl, Judy Rockwell, hearing about this call on the night of the 22nd on local radio.

"a substantial majority of the witnesses stated that the shots were not

“There has been a certain amount of testimony indicating there was a longer pause between the report of the first shot... and the second and third shots, that is not absolutely unanimous but I would say it is something like 5 to 1 or something of that kind....”

(Warren Commission commissioner ALLEN DULLES, admitting that 5 of 6 witnesses (an 83% clear majority) of
the witnesses that the commission knew of and chose to want testimony from, who remembered (or
could hear) 3 or more shots testified that the last two audible blasts and/or bullet bow
shock N-waves crack sounds that they could hear were bunched much closer together
than the first two blasts/shock N-waves they could hear)

Videotaped transcript of an interview recorded years earlier on 1-20-92 on the “Larry
King Show”
between LARRY KING and JFK close friend and former United States
Speaker of the House, Congressman THOMAS PHILLIP “Tip” O’NEILL, JR.…

O'NEILL: .... That night we went to Jimmy's for supper. Kenny O'Donnell and his wife, Dave Powers, and his wife, my Millie, Leo Deal, and his wife and Joe Maloney and his wife, and in the conversation we started to talk about what happened down there in Dallas, and Kenny said, “I was in the sixth car with Dave," and he said, “I'll always remember----” he says, “----there was a bullet came over the fence. A bullet came over the fence," and Dave says, “I'm absolutely agreeing with it.”

I said, “You didn't say that in the Warren Report. You didn't say that in the Warren Report.” I said, “You denied it -- that you said there was only one bullet. He said, “So the F.B.I. came to us, they asked us to tell that story. They didn't want to disrupt the family.” I said. . . .

KING: Now wait a minute; if that's true. . . .

O'NEILL: No, let me tell you the rest of the story…

So Dave said, “Absolutely, a bullet came over the fence. The F.B.I. said to us, ‘No, you heard echoes, there was only one bullet and don't upset the family.’” So he said, “I went and testified.”

I said, “I wouldn't have testified that way in 1 million years! I would have told them what I thought I saw or what I thought I heard.”

Anyway, it gets back -- I'm writing the book again -- and I call Dave on the telephone. I said, “Dave, I'm going to put in my book on the chapter of Kennedy our conversation with Kenny and you, how do you feel about it?”

He said, “Tip, I say the same thing today I said that night that's in polar opposition to what I said to the F.B.I.; no question I heard a bullet shot from the fence…”

KING: Then why don't. . . .

O'NEILL: So from that time on, I always believed that there was a conspiracy. . . .

(CROSSTALK)

O'NEILL: . . . . that there was somebody else, and, as a matter of fact, Congressman Stokes did a pretty good job.

KING: You appointed that committee, right? Stokes headed it. Stokes now has said, “Let's release all the materials…”

O'NEILL: Oh, I'm for that; I'm for that.

KING: Why don't you go see the movie?

O'NEILL: I just -- you know, every time I see on television the President getting hit, I get sick. I had a love and an affection for the man. . . .

KING: So you can't go, emotionally?

O'NEILL: I just -- really, I can't go emotionally.

KING: You believe there was a plot?

O'NEILL: Oh, there's no question that he didn't do it by himself, in my opinion.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

KING: Recently, evidence has emerged to support O'Neill's conspiracy theory: a U.S. government scientist studied audio tapes from the President Kennedy assassination and concluded there was very likely a shot fired from the grassy knoll.

. . . . .This last statement by KING after showing the videotape of O’NEILL speaking about a grassy knoll shooter was in reference to the 2001 research by Dr. DONALD THOMAS with respect to the 11-22-63 Dallas police radio channel recorded dictabelt tape. The first of Dr. THOMAS's many assassination dictabelt tape research reports and his book that he provided during the next 9 years.

With respect to shots echoes in Dealey Plaza, long time JFK assassination researcher and author STEWART GALANOR commonsense detail provided in his very outstanding book “Cover-up”....

“ Echoes are caused by sound bouncing off large, hard surfaces, as anyone who has ever shouted in a canyon knows. There are no buildings on the knoll or overpass that would have reflected sound back to confuse witnesses in Dealey Plaza. Beyond the knoll the terrain is flat with railroad tracks, while the knoll is covered with grass, shrubs and trees that absorb sound. If there were echoes, they would have been caused by the sound of rifle fire from the knoll echoing off the Book Depository. ”

" I heard a woman unknown to me say the
President was shot in the head and
the shots came from the fence on the
north side of Elm. "

investigation report, a.k.a. Decker Exhibit 5323; buried inside Warren
Commission volume 19, page 516

When I completed my [warren commission] testimony, Arlen Specter followed me out in the hall and he said,

“I want to tell you something that I don't want you to say anything about.”

He said,
“We have people who will testify that they saw the President shot from the front.”

He said,
“You can always get people to testify about something.”

(Dr. RONALD COY JONES, Parkland Hospital Doctor
who was part of the team to try and save President
KENNEDY, during his Assassinations Records
Review Board deposition)

“ Suddenly three shots in rapid succession rang out.
Myself and dozens of others standing nearby turned
in horror toward the back of the grassy knoll where
it seemed the sounds had originated. Puffs of white
smoke still hung in the air in small patches. But
no one was visible. ”

(CHERYL McKINNON, in a newspaper article that she wrote.
McKINNON was an extremely close assassination witness to JFK’s exact
location when his head first exploded in front of her, as she stood at
the base of the grassy knoll.)

“Three shots were heard
and the President fell forward
bleeding from the head.”

(Warren Commission report, page 539)

ALLEN WELSH DULLES (on right), the Warren Commission
commissioner, and the ex-C.I.A. Director who was fired by
President KENNEDY

The following encounter is detailed in DAVID LIFTON’s book, “Best Evidence”, pages 34-36 . . . .

When ALLEN WELSH DULLES -- the most active Warren Commission-commissar -- who was the former C.I.A.-Director (rightly fired by President KENNEDY after the 1961 failure of the C.I.A.-backed “Bay of Pigs” Cuba liberation attempt) appeared at the UCLA campus in 1965, researcher DAVID LIFTON took the opportunity to question DULLES about the Zapruder film and HAROLD FELDMAN's researched report, “Fifty-one Witnesses: The Grassy Knoll” that details some of the many witnesses who stated that they heard evidence, and/or, distinctly smelled evidence, and/or, saw evidence that, at least, one shot was fired from the grassy knoll.

When LIFTON brought up these specific commission-testimonies and statements of witnesses of their hearing, smelling, or seeing gun smoke from a shot fired from the grassy knoll, DULLES could only condescendingly attempt a lame reply of, "Now what are you saying? Someone was smoking up there?"

Then, when LIFTON showed DULLES frames of the Zapruder film arranged in the correct
sequential order (which the Warren Commission claimed it “accidentally”
did not publish in their correct order) that documented JFK’s head,
hands, arms, and his entire upper torso of his 178-pound body
all rapidly moving backwards and to the left, DULLES
DULLES suddenly and quite anxiously, very
lamely exclaimed to LIFTON and the
gathered crowd.............

“You have nothing! Absolutely nothing!

I can't see a blasted thing here!

You can't say the head goes back.

I can't see it going back.

It does not go back!

You can't say that!"

" .... They've walked the plaza. They know every inch. .... "

(OLIVER STONE's 1991 film, "JFK"; inaccurate
Dealey Plaza assassination shots scenario
)

“ The organizing principle of any society, Mr. Garrison, is for war.

The authority of the state over its people resides in its war powers,
and Kennedy wanted to end the Cold War in his second term.

He wanted to call off the moon race and cooperate with the Soviets.

He signed a treaty to ban nuclear testing.

He refused to invade Cuba in 1962, and, he set out to withdraw from Vietnam....

"In January of 1964 the Warren Commission learned that Don B. Reynolds, insurance agent and close associate of Bobby Baker, had been heard to say that the F.B.I. knew that Johnson was behind the assassination. When interviewed by the F.B.I., he denied this. But he did recount an incident during the swearing in of Kennedy in which Bobby Baker said words to the effect that the s.o.b. would never live out his term and that he would die a violent death." It is documented that the
second telephone call that the
new President Johnson made from Air
Force One on November 22, 1963 was to Don
Reynolds to
anxiously inquire about whether the court
testimony that same day of his very close friend and long time
aide, Bobby Baker, had
explicitly tied Johnson into Baker's crimes.

“I was Scientific Director of the National Institute for Mental
Health and (concurrently) of the National Institute of
Neurological Diseases and Blindness, at the time of the
assassination. These two institutes are obviously relevant
to interpretations of brain damage sustained by the
president.

On the basis of November 22, 1963, broadcasts from
Parkland Hospital, I felt obliged to call Commander James
Humes, at the Bethesda Naval Hospital, who was about to
perform the autopsy. Our telephone conversation was
completed before the body arrived at Andrews AFB. I
called to retail media reports from Parkland Hospital that
there was a small wound in the front of his neck, just to the
right of the trachea.

Humes said he hadn't been paying attention to the news,
but was receptive to what I had to tell him. We had a cordial
conversation about this. Based on my knowledge of medical
and experimental analyses of bullet wounding, and personal
experiences caring for numerous bullet and shrapnel wounds
throughout the battle of Okinawa, I told him that a small
wound, as described, would have to be a wound of entry.
When a bullet exits from flesh, it violently blows out a lot of
tissue, usually making a conspicuous cruciate opening with
tissue protruding. A wound of entry, however, just punctures
as it penetrates. So I stressed the need for him to probe that
wound to trace its course fully and to find the location of the
bullet or fragments. I especially emphasized that such a
wound had to be an entry wound. And since the president
was facing forward the whole time, that meant that there
had to be a conspiracy. As we talked about that, he
interrupted the conversation momentarily. He came back
on the line to say, "I'm sorry. Dr. Livingston, but the F.B.I.
won't let me talk any longer."
Thus, the conversation
ended.

Two important subsequent events are noteworthy:
Commander Humes did not dissect that wound, and when
asked why not, in the Warren Commission hearings, he said
that he didn't know about the small wound in the neck until
the following day when he had a conversation with Dr. Perry
at Parkland Hospital.

A further issue concerns reports of the appearance of
cerebellar tissue in the occipital wound. This was first
reported "live" as observations by an orderly, and by a
nurse, both of whom were in the surgery where attempts
to resuscitate the president were conducted prior to his
death. I didn't give any credibility to those stories and
dismissed them from my focus at the time, attributing what
I thought must be mistaken identification of cerebellum to a
likely lack of familiarity with neuroanatomy by two non-
medically trained individuals. It would be easy to assume
cerebellum in looking at macerated cerebral tissue
protruding from a bloody wound. But since then, around six
reputable physicians who saw the president at that time
have testified that cerebellum was extruding from the
wound at the back of his head. That is an important clue,
indicating that something must have burst into the posterior
fossa with sufficient force to uproot the cerebellum and
blow a substantial hole through the heavy, covering, well-
anchored, tentorium, which separates cerebellum from the
main chamber of the skull.”

[QUOTE]

As though on cue, a phalanx of guards poured into Trauma Room One just as the coffin was being rolled out. They looked like a swarm of locusts descending upon a cornfield. Without any discussion, they encircled the casket and began escorting the President’s body down the hall toward the emergency room exit. A man in a suit, leading the group, holding a submachine gun, left little doubt in my mind who was in charge. That he wasn’t smiling best describes the look on his face. Just outside Trauma Room One, Jacqueline [Kennedy] joined the escort and placed her hand on the coffin as she walked along beside it. I followed directly behind them.

When the entourage had moved into the main hall, Dr. Earl Rose, chief of forensic pathology, confronted the men in suits. Roy Kellerman, the man leading the group, looked sternly at Dr. Rose and announced, “My friend, this is the body of the President of the United States, and we are going to take it back to Washington.”

Dr. Rose bristled and replied, “No, that’s not the way things are. When there’s a homicide, we must have an autopsy.”

“He’s the President. He’s going with us!,”
Kellerman barked, with increased intensity in his voice.

“The body stays,” Dr. Rose said with equal poignancy.

Kellerman took an erect stance and brought his firearm into a ready position. The other men in suits followed course by draping their coattails behind the butts of their holstered pistols. How brave of these men, wearing their Brooks Brothers suits with icons of distinction (color-coded Secret Service buttons) pinned to their lapels, willing to shoot an unarmed doctor to secure a corpse.

“My friend, my name is Roy Kellerman. I am special agent in charge of the White House detail of the Secret Service. We are taking President Kennedy back to the capitol.”

Dr. Rose then stated, “You are not taking the body anywhere. There’s a law here. We’re going to enforce it.”

Admiral George Burkley, White House Medical Officer, said, “Mrs. Kennedy is going to stay exactly where she is until the body is moved. We can’t have that ... he’s the President of the United States.”

“That doesn’t matter,” Dr. Rose replied rigidly. “You can’t lose the chain of evidence.”

For the second time that day, there was little doubt in my mind as to the significance of what was happening before me.

“Goddammit, get your ass out of the way before you get hurt!,” screamed another one of the men in suits. Another snapped, “We’re taking the body, now!”

Strange, I thought, this President is getting more protection dead than he did when he was alive.

Had Dr. Rose not stepped aside I’m sure that those thugs would have shot him. They would have killed me and anyone else who got in their way. Dr. Kemp Clark wanted to physically detain the coffin, but the men with guns acted like tough guys with specific orders. A period of twenty-seven years has neither erased the fear that I felt nor diminished the impression that that incident made upon me.

(Doctor CHARLES ANDREW CRENSHAW, in his book “Conspiracy of Silence”
.... Dr. CRENSHAW was one of several Parkland Hospital doctors who helped in the
efforts to save President KENNEDY’s life in Trauma Room # 1 at Parkland Hospital.
He was also one of several persons who witnessed the above detailed description of
some of the struggles and fights during 10 to 15 minutes of whether the Dallas County
Coroner or the federal government would gain control over the legal forensic rights to
examine President KENNEDY’s body. (on 11-22-63 it was still, legally, a local crime,
not a federal crime, to kill the President of the United States, and the autopsy should
have, most definitely, been legally performed in Dallas, not WashDC))

In a 1978 oral history interview that Air Force aide to President Kennedy, Brigadier General Godfrey T. McHugh gave to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library [but, his interview was completely withheld away from The People for 31 years, until 2009. My insertion], McHugh provided detailed statements that once Kennedy's body was back on board Air Force One he did not know that Lyndon Johnson was also on board. Due to safety concerns that there was a conspiracy, Jacqueline Kennedy's repeated requests, and the fact that the plane's interior cabin was growing quite warm, McHugh had requested that the plane take-off. When the plane still had not taken off, McHugh went forward to again ask pilot James Swindal why the plane had not taken off and McHugh was told that Johnson did not want the plane to take off yet. McHugh went to find Johnson and he soon found and encountered a sobbing and cowering Johnson hiding in a bathroom with Johnson saying repeatedly, "They're going to get us all! It's a plot! It's a plot! It's going to get us all!" Johnson "was hysterical, sitting down on the john there, alone in this thing" McHugh stated. In an additional documented interview the previous week in 1978 McHugh had also stated to the House Select Committee on Assassinations investigator Mark Flanagan the same basic account of what he witnessed about Johnson, and, what Johnson also stated.

("A New Wrinkle in the JFK Assassination Story", 10-30-09)

On the evening of the assassination it is documented that F.B.I. director
Hoover spoke with his long time friend and next-door neighbor, the newly-
ascended President Johnson.

Hoover told Johnson about a person who less than two months earlier was
moving around in Mexico City, Mexico. . . .

“we have up here the tape recording and the photograph of the man who was at the Soviet embassy using Oswald’s name. That picture and tape recording do not correspond to this man’s voice, nor to his appearance. In other words, it appears that there is a second person who was at the Soviet embassy down there.”

(my emphasis)

"During his visit to Mexico City, wiretaps were created
of a man calling himself Oswald and a woman identified
as Cuban consulate secretary Sylvia Duran calling the
Soviet consulate. After the JFK assassination, the CIA
insisted that these tapes had been destroyed prior to the
assassination.

However, during the 1990s, two Warren Commission
staffers admitted that these tapes were played for them
during their Mexico City visit in April 1964.

After this admission, Mexico City CIA case officer Anne
Goodpasture changed her story and admitted her role
in disseminating the tapes after the assassination."

(BILL SIMPICH, "State Secret: Wiretapping in Mexico City, Double Agents, and the Framing of Lee Oswald" free e-book)

(QUOTE)

It's rare. But, he is. Because he [Hoover, my insertion] said, “We have up here the tape and the photograph of the man who was at the Soviet embassy using Oswald's name. That picture and the tape do not correspond to this man's voice nor to his appearance. In other words it appears there was a second person who was at the Soviet embassy down there.”

And shortly after that Mr. Hoover wrote a memo to the head of the Secret Service, James Rowley. This is Hoover now writing to Rowley: “The Central Intelligence Agency advised that on 1 October, 1963 an extremely sensitive source,” this is the LIENVOY, the telephone taping system that they had in place down there “reported that an individual identified himself as Lee Oswald who contacted the Soviet embassy in Mexico City inquiring,” and so on and so forth, “Special Agents of this Bureau who have conversed with Oswald in Dallas have observed photographs of the individual referred to above and have listened to a recording of his voice. Special Agents are of the opinion that it was not Oswald…”

So, now we've brought the head of the Secret Service online. Now, about an hour and 50 minutes later we see two things that have happened. Basically, Belmont who writes this memo, and this is a portion, this is out of the back of the Lopez Report, Eddie Lopez excerpted this stuff here. I actually found it in the archives. I am going to show it to you right now, found the real thing. It was quite exciting to get it. So, we have two things that go on. First of all a phone conversation between Shanklin here and Belmont about this, and then Belmont actually writes Tolson. Belmont is number three guy in the FBI and Clyde Tolson is Hoover's gay lover, the number two guy in the FBI, and that's what you're looking at here. And what it says is, “Inasmuch as the Dallas agents who listened to the tape of the conversation allegedly,” this is good lawyer talk here, “of Oswald from the Cuban embassy to the Russian embassy,” that's the 9/28 call, and if we go back one you will see that the Rowley memo discusses the 1 October tape, and if you recall the Johnson-Hoover conversation it was the 1 October, and here we have a very clear description of the phone call from the Cuban embassy to the Soviet embassy that was on 9/28.

So, what are we to deduce from this? There are two tapes that they are listening to, that Belmont, Tolson, Shanklin, Hoover and Rowley are all discussing, or writing memoranda, or receiving memoranda about. And of course it's the same thing, the tape is not Oswald.

Dr. JOHN NEWMAN, former United States National Security Agency Assistant Director, U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, during his
“Mexico City: A New Analysis” outstanding, detailed report for the 1999 Lancer, November in Dallas conference, talking about the fact that after the F.B.I. actually hearing OSWALD’s voice while he was under arrest in Dallas, and then on 11-23-63 the F.B.I. examining and listening to pre-assassination C.I.A.-supplied surveillance photographs and CIA-tapped-and-recorded Russian embassy phone surveillance tapes of someone claiming to be OSWALD in Mexico City earlier in the Fall of 1963, the F.B.I. determined that the person on the phone tapes was not the same person as the OSWALD in custody in Dallas. . . .

The following first photo is also shown in Warren Commission exhibit CE-237 ---- one of several C.I.A. surveillance photos (also provided below,) that were captured of the “Oswald” man that visited the Russian embassy in Mexico City, who the C.I.A. told the F.B.I. was OSWALD ---- but who, clearly, is not the same person as the real OSWALD that ended up on 11-22-63 arrested in Dallas....

“During the evening of November 22, however, there are several people on record who received calls from President Johnson's assistant Cliff Carter. On the morning of November 23, the Dallas Morning News carried a story quoting Dallas District Attorney Henry Wade that preliminary reports indicated more than one person might have been involved. Regardless of what Wade had thought and told the reporters, the final charges filed against Oswald reflected the calls from Washington D.C. the previous evening. Henry Wade described three calls from Cliff Carter on Friday night. Carter said that ’any word of a conspiracy – some plot by foreign nations – to kill President Kennedy would shake our nation to its foundation. President Johnson was worried about some conspiracy on the part of the Russians… it would hurt foreign relations if I alleged a conspiracy – whether I could prove it or not… I was to charge Oswald with plain murder.’ In addition to Wade, Police Chief Curry and Texas State Attorney General Carr also received similar calls from Cliff Carter, instructing them to avoid any charges or remarks indicating conspiracy.”

(LARRY HANCOCK, "Someone Would Have Talked" 2003)

The day after his brother's murder-elimination,
Robert Kennedy sought answers from Harry Ruiz-Williams, a close friend who was also a very high level anti-Castro Cuban exile and C.I.A. high level contact who was staying at a C.I.A.-operated safe house used by Cuban exiles. While listening and speaking with Williams, RFK told him....

"One of your guys did it."

Afterward, speaking with journalist Haynes Johnson, RFK said that he.…

"suspected C.I.A.-backed anti-Castro forces
of having been involved in his brother's death."

RFK was also quoted as stating to Mr. LaVern Duffy, one of the investigators
from his Senate committee days that it was....

"impossible that Oswald and Ruby hadn't known one another" and “Those Cuban c**ts are all working for the mob. They blame us for the Bay of Pigs, and they're trying to make this look like a Castro-Communist hit. I don't buy it. And I don't trust those guys at the C.I.A. They're worse than the Mafia."

Wade said preliminary reports indicated more than one person was involved in the shooting which brought death to the president and left Gov. John Connally wounded. "This is the most dastardly act I've ever heard about," Wade said. "Everyone who participated in this crime ----anyone who helped plan it or furnish a weapon, knowing the purposes for which it was intended---- is guilty of murder under Texas law. They should all go to the electric chair.”

COUNTY OF DALLAS
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

SUPPLEMENTARY INVESTIGATION REPORT

Ref: Death of President

11-23-63

Mr. Decker

About 8:00 am this morning, while in the presence of Allen Sweatt,
I talked to Sorrels the head of the Dallas Secret Service. I advised
him that for the past few months at a house at 3128 Harlendale
some Cubans had been having meetings on the week ends and were
possibly connected with the "Freedom For Cuba Party" of which
Oswald was a member."

11-26-63

I don't know what action the secret service has taken but I learned
today that sometime between seven days before the president was
shot and the day after he was shot these Cubans moved from this
house. My informant stated that subject Oswald had been to this
house before.

(Dallas Deputy Sheriff EDDIE (or "Eddy") RAYMOND "Buddy" WALTHERS, Dallas
Police Supplemental Reports (Warren Commission report-canard volume 19,
page 534 (and inside Decker Exhibit # 5323)
)

....Within minutes of JFK’s elimination WALTHERS was, indeed, photographed
very, very close to the Elm Street south curb sewer manhole cover, as he was
picking something up out of the grass and depositing it into his pocket. This
was the exact same location where a bullet was supposedly seen skipping-off
the sewer’s surrounding cement apron southwest corner by Dallas Policeman
JAMES W. FOSTER (according to Foster’s Warren Commission-testimony, and
maintained in his later years documented statements)

.... WALTHERS found and inspected the TAGUE impact mark within minutes
after the shooting and he stated to assassination researcher and author
WILLIAM HURT that the impact mark had definitely been caused by a bullet.

.... On 1-10-69 WALTHERS was shot and murdered by JAMES WALKER
CHERRY, the Mafia-linked mobster

.... Researcher ROBERT HARRIS writes....

Dick Russell, author "The Man Who Knew Too Much", established that the
Harlendale house was rented for the refugees by a Manuel Orcaberro
Rodriguez. Rodriguez was cited in a Secret Service memo dated 11/24/63 by
an informant as,

".... known to be violently anti-President Kennedy."

The report also established that Rodriguez was a serious enough threat to
the President to be placed on the Secret Service's "Protective Research"
list. The report described Rodriguez as,

".... apparently a survivor of the Bay of Pigs episode, was attempting to
purchase arms in Dallas for Alpha 66. Rodriguez is also a member of the
DRE (the Carlos Bringuier group which Silvia's sister, Sarita belonged
to)."

Of course, we know the Alpha 66 and DRE groups were the most radical and
violent of the refugee groups. In fact, as Russell points out, Rodriguez
and his group were under investigation by Frank Ellsworth of the ATF, at
the time of the assassination. The LaFontaines go into Ellsworth's
investigation in much greater detail in "Oswald Talked", establishing that
the Cubans were in the process of buying stolen armaments through Dallas
gun dealer, John Thomas Masen.

All of this was confirmed by agent Frank Ellsworth, BTW.

Masen, who was a member of the radical right-wing Minutemen, distinguished
himself in another way - as a dealer in the rather rare ammunition used in
the MC rifle, LHO is alleged to have used. This is from a 3/27/64 FBI
report, cited on p.542 of TMWKTM,

"Mr. John Thomas Masen, Owner, Masen's Gun Shop... advised he purchased
about ten boxes of 6.5mm Mannlicher-Carcano, Western Cartridge Company,
ammunition from Johnny Brinegar in early 1963 and that he sold these 10
boxes to individuals. He stated he was not able to recall the identity of
any persons to whom he sold the ammunition..."

Was Deputy Sheriff Walther's informant correct in claiming Oswald was a
visitor to the Harlendale house? Here is more from Russell's book,

"Lonnie Hudkins, the Texas-based reporter who broke the story on Oswald's
FBI ties as a sometimes informant, also knew of the Harlandale house. 'T.
George Harris, the ex-senior editor of Look (magazine) and I went all through
the Little Cuba district in Dallas,' Hudkins said, 'and found people who said
Oswald and others had attended a party the Wednesday night before the
assassination at the Harlandale house."

In "Oswald Talks", Ray and Mary LaFontaine point out that Silvia Odio told
both her ex-best friend and her psychiatrist that she saw LHO several
times at gatherings of these radical Cuban refugee groups. Walther's
informant also reports Oswald was there. Lonnie Hudkins provides more
confirmation.

Should we be suspicious?

This is from a classified teletype sent from FBI headquarters in Miami to
J. Edgar Hoover shortly after the assassination. It was reported in "The
Man Who Knew Too Much", p.540 by Dick Russel,

".... Speculation on future US policy re Cuba is currently topic of
discussion among exiles. Rumors are not circulating among exile Cubans re
possible GOC (Government of Cuba) involvement in Pres Kennedy's death.
Authors these rumors not identified but it clear this being done primarily
in attempt provide strong US action against Cuba...

"A" reported hearing from "B" whose sister's husband "C" is member SNFE
(Second National Front Excambray, an offshoot of Alpha 66) that Eloy
Gutierrez Menoyo commented 21 Nov 63 that "Something very big would happen
soon that would advance Cuban cause."

On November 24, 1963, Johnson said, "the battle against communism... must be joined... with strength and determination."

(“Vietnam: A History” 1983, page 339.... Before a small group, including Henry Cabot Lodge Jr.,
the new president also said, "We should stop playing cops and robbers [a reference to Diem's
failed leadership] and get back to... winning the war... tell the generals in Saigon that Lyndon
Johnson intends to stand by our word…
[to] win the contest against the externally directed and
supported Communist conspiracy."
)

Just one day after President Kennedy is buried, Kennedy's goal via his National Security Action Memorandum #263 (NSAM 263 on Oct. 11, 1963) of United States disengagement from Vietnam by the end of 1965 was reversed, when Johnson issued his very first via NSAM 273 (Nov. 26, 1963) that, instead, escalated and led to a greatly expanded war.

When they met on December 9th, Schlesinger asked RFK what he thought about the assassination, and in his journal Schlesinger wrote: “I asked him, perhaps tactlessly about Oswald. He said there could be no serious doubt that he was guilty, but there still was argument whether he did it by himself or as a part of a larger plot, whether organized by Castro or by gangsters. He said the FBI people thought he had done it by himself, but that McCone thought there were two people involved in the shooting.(published in 2007 as Journals 1952-2000  (Penguin Press, Diary entry December 9, 1963 page 184),

That the Director of the CIA would tell the Attorney General he thought “there were two people involved in the shooting,” was not just a belief or an opinion, but was a determination based on the NPIC analysis of the Zapruder film and the reports of the Secret Service agents that witnessed the assassination who said that the President and Governor Connally were hit by separate shots, which indicated there was more than one gunman.

...... LBJ and Warren Commission "lone-nut"-commissar, Senator RICHARD RUSSELL, in their private, recorded phone conversation 9-18-64 that took place less than a week before the Warren Commission report-canard was made public (less than 2 months before LBJ's presidential election)...…

(QUOTE)

PRESIDENT LYNDON JOHNSON: Why did you get in such a rush?

SENATOR RICHARD RUSSELL: Well, I was just worn out, fightin' over that damn report.

LBJ: Well, you oughta’ [have] taken another hour and gone to get your clothes.

RUSSELL: No . . . No. Well, they were trying to prove that [the] same bullet that hit Kennedy first was the one that hit Connally . . . went through him and through his hand, his bone, into his leg, and everything else. Just lot of stuff there . . . I hadn't . . . couldn't . . . didn't hear all the evidence and cross-examine all of them, but I did read the record and so I just, ah . . . I don't know. I was the only fella’ there that even . . . practically, that suggested any change, whatever, in what the staff had got up. This staff business always scares me. I like to put my own views down. But we got you a pretty good report.

LBJ: Well, what difference does it make which bullet got Connally?

RUSSELL: Well, it don't make much difference. But they said that . . . that the Commission believe[s] that the same bullet that hit Kennedy hit Connally. Well, I don't believe it.

LBJ: I don't either.

RUSSELL: And so I couldn't sign it. And I said that Governor Connally testified directly to the contrary, and I'm not gonna approve of that. So I finally made 'em say there was a difference in the Commission, in that part of 'em believed that that wasn't so. 'Course, if a fella’ was accurate enough to hit Kennedy right in the neck on one shot, and knock his head off in the next one when he's leanin' up against his wife's head and not even wound her . . . why, he didn't miss completely with that third shot. But according to that theory, he not only missed the whole automobile, but he missed the street. Well, a man a good enough [sic] shot to put two bullets right into Kennedy, he didn't miss that whole automobile.

On the Kennedy assassination, the deceptions began in 1964 with the Warren Commission. The C.I.A. hid its schemes to kill Fidel Castro and its ties to the anti-Castro Directorio Revolucionario Estudantil, or Cuban Student Directorate, which received $50,000 a month in C.I.A. support during 1963.

In August 1963, Oswald visited a New Orleans shop owned by a directorate official, feigning sympathy with the group’s goal of ousting Mr. Castro. A few days later, directorate members found Oswald handing out pro-Castro pamphlets and got into a brawl with him. Later that month, he debated the anti-Castro Cubans on a local radio station.
